FAQs

Q: What is required to move into Westbrooke Manor?
A: There are two things. First, our Resident Care Director must do an assessment of the prospective resident to make sure that we are the correct environment to meet their needs. Second, the state of Florida requires form 1823 to be filled out by the prospective resident’s doctor.

Q: How do I pay for my stay? Does Medicare or Medicaid help?
A: Westbrooke Manor accepts cash, checks, and long term care insurance. Some people may also be eligible for Veterans benefits or Financial Aid offered by The Department of Elder Affairs.

Q: Do I have to bring my own furniture?
A: We encourage you to bring your own furniture and decorations so that you can really make your room your own, however it is not necessary. Westbrooke can also assist in providing furnishing if needed.

Q: Does Westbrooke allow pets?
A: There are two resident cats that reside at Westbrooke Manor, Luigi & Peanut. We also have therapy dogs and agility dogs that visit often. Pets are always welcome to visit but unfortunately we are unable to accept pets at this time.

Q: Can I receive mail and phone calls?
A: Yes, similar to a hotel, all mail and phone calls come in through the Front Desk. Mail will be delivered to your own mailbox located just outside your door. When residents receive incoming phone calls they are also patched through to your room.

Q: Can I have visitors or go out with family & friends?
A: Absolutely! We encourage visitors, family and friends to come and visit as much as they like. Residents are able to go out for short trips or for more extended stays.

Q: Do I have to sign a long term contract?
A: No, you sign a contract upon move in and pay your rent month to month. You must give a 30 day notice to end your contract.
